| | Model of the car: | 626 LX-V4 | | | General comments: | I own a 99' Mazda 626 LX V4. This car is GREAT! I have owned it for almost 2 years. It was a used car from Hertz Car Rental. I had it checked out before I bought it. Twice. I had to replace the brakes at 35,000 miles, but otherwise, I have had no expenses other than oil changes. As for fuel efficiency, I get 25 mpg and I do a lot of city driving. The car is fast 0-40 mph. After that it is a little sluggish.
The only problem I have with the car is it seems to jump forward a little when I hit the brakes for the first time in a trip. Mazda had never heard of this and they can't find anything wrong, and I've learned to live with it. Also I don't think the power brakes are as efficient as comperable cars like the Toyotas or Nissans. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Slow acceleration at high speed
